Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers about ToolPorta, privacy, developer utilities, local processing, and common issues.
General
ToolPorta is a collection of free, privacy-friendly online utilities for developers and everyday technical tasks. We provide formatters, generators, encoders, converters, and implementation guides designed for speed and simplicity.
Yes. All ToolPorta tools are 100% free for both personal and commercial use. There are no subscriptions, usage fees, or paywalled features.
No account or registration is required. You can use every tool immediately upon opening the page without entering credentials or personal info.
ToolPorta works on all modern browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, and mobile browsers on iOS and Android.
Yes. Every tool interface is fully responsive and optimized for smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop screens.
Privacy & Security
No. Most ToolPorta utilities process your data 100% locally inside your browser using Web APIs and WebAssembly. Your input payloads are never transmitted to our servers.
No. We do not store, log, or record tool input payloads or generated outputs on any remote servers. Once you close or reload the browser tab, your data is completely discarded.
No. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or data, and we do not construct advertising profiles based on your tool usage.
You can open your browser's Developer Tools (F12), inspect the Network tab, and perform any action. You will see that no network requests containing your input payload are sent.
Tools & Processing
Because our utility logic runs directly in your browser's JavaScript engine, many tools continue working offline once the page has loaded, without needing internet connectivity.
Yes, but performance depends on your device's memory and CPU capacity. Because processing occurs locally, large files are not restricted by network upload bandwidth.
Yes. Most tools provide one-click clipboard copying as well as instant file downloads (such as formatted JSON, QR code images, and batch UUID lists).
Never. Generated values exist strictly in temporary browser memory. We never retain, store, or log any generated keys, IDs, passwords, or hashes.
Different tools offer configurable options (like 2 spaces vs 4 spaces indentation, or different hash algorithms). Check your options in the tool panel to match your desired format.
Developer Guides
Developer Guides provide copy-paste code snippets and practical examples showing how to implement common algorithms (like UUID generation, Base64 encoding, and hashing) directly in your own codebase.
Our guides include examples in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, Java, C#, and more, complete with installation instructions and code samples.
The online tools give you instant results in the browser, while the Developer Guides explain how to integrate the exact same logic natively in your own backend or frontend applications.
Yes. All our documentation and developer guides are fully translated and maintained in both English and French.
Troubleshooting
Errors usually stem from invalid input syntax (such as incomplete JSON brackets or invalid characters). Check the error message in the tool panel, or ensure no aggressive browser extensions are blocking page scripts.
